I started day 11 of NaNoWriMo at 4:30am, groggily trudging downstairs to make coffee. I wrote two thousand words by noon, and took a walk with the kids and kitten during lunch. I sat down this afternoon and wrote another thousand. My word count now totals 19,054, which is ahead.
I could keep going, but I’ve got a family to take care of and other things to do. Part of hitting a wall is forgetting self-care and everything else during this month. Don’t do that. The contest should set up good writing habits, not poor ones.
Hope your day went well. Happy writing!
