Writer Talk: Planning 2021

I plan on:

finishing Warrior Tithe by the end of January and hopefully self-publishing it this year.

-working on my editor’s notes (when they come in) for Eastside Hedge Witch & working hard to get it published through @MadRaptorPro this year.

-making Eastside Faerie submission worthy and submitting it.

-finishing and shopping the two short stories I’m working on. If I don’t find a home for them, I’ll put them up on Smashwords.

-supporting #indieauthors by featuring their work in my blog.

-supporting traditionally published authors by beta reading.

-continuing reading and learning to be a better writer and hybrid author.

-learning more about marketing my indie books.

-creating a newsletter to keep fans up to date when all my works will be coming out.

These are my goals. What are your plans for 2021?

Tammy loves to build worlds with words, exploring themes the effect of diaspora on the generations born elsewhere than their ancestors with the backdrop of tech or magic and dragons (sometimes both). These stories are inspired by her own family's immigrant experience. She's queer and many of her characters fall somewhere on the LGBTQIA spectrum (though that is not the focus of her work). She's married to an engineer who dances. Together they are raising three precocious teens in the Seattle suburbs. Two of her children are neurodiverse. Her experiences have taught her much about the world, its beauties and its injustices. All of this comes through in her fiction with a healthy dose of absurd humor.

    1. Awesome! Good luck with your endeavors.
Have you heard of using TikTok? I’m not cool enough, but quite a few authors swear their sales went up 25% after they started making trailers and silly videos. I’m reticent to delve into another form of social media trend. Bookstagram was a thing and now it’s not.
