Book Review: Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Genre: Urban fantasy

Romantic subplot? Yup. It’s not instalove, but it’s not a slow burn either. They have the hots for each other and it’s cute.

Steam? Sauna. What else do you expect with a cover like that?

Plot: Ivy Morgan is a college student by day and fae slayer by night. Yes. You read that right. The fae want to open a portal to the Otherworld and it’s Ivy’s job to stop them. She teams up with an extra super special elite fae slayer to stop the prince of the fae from coming through. They share their trauma stories and smooches but pay attention, Armentrout likes to plant seeds throughout her stories to grow a vicious plot twist garden.

Would I recommend this book? Yes. If you like light urban fantasy, fae, and a tiny brownie named Tink with troll collecting issues as comedic relief, go ahead and treat yourself.
