My Experience Getting Witch with It in Salem, MA

It’s hard to come down from the emotional high of an author signing event. Especially, when that event is held in a historic area and there is so much to see and do before I had to fly my broom back to Seattle.

TL;DR: The author signing event was fabulous. (Now you can scroll down to the freebies lol)

Day 1:

My youngest and I took a ten minute train, a six hour flight, an hour bus ride, and a fifteen minute Lyft for a real life Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. The kid is a world class traveler and rolled with the punches. It was a fun journey and no mishaps to worry about.

Day 2:

On the second day, we shopped. We ate a cozy diner called Luigi’s where a lovely waitress served us, and judging by their accents, a lot of locals. We crossed off the souvenirs from my kids’ wish list and got to see a few sites.

Of course I found a bookstore!
Don’t you love the name?

After dinner back at the hotel, we headed to the Witches Ball and met some more great people, including Ark Horton! Unfortunately, he kiddo felt exhausted and overwhelmed, and I had an early morning, so we retired before the party really started. The photos and videos on the Facebook Getting Witchy with It reader group gave me some serious FOMO (fear of missing out), but I’m the type of person to feel joy vicariously. There was plenty to go around on social media.

Day 3:

I set up my table with the fabulous author Jessica Rosenberg. The rest of that day was a blur of stand and sit, sign and search for more copies. I was happy to sell out of the Midlife Supernaturals books and sold a few of my Midlife Olympians series.

I am so grateful to the organizers, the reading community, and the authors who attended. All of you made the weekend so special! Thank you.

Next month, I’ll be vending at GeekGirl Con. Hope to see you there, Seattle!

Now for the good stuff!

If you enjoy what you listened to, please leave a review. It means the world to authors, especially indie authors!
